About Building Veterans

Building Veterans is a peer-to-peer addiction and PTSD recovery program. Building Veterans was founded by Bob and Lori Wyatt. Bob, a Vietnam Veteran, knows all too well the effects PTSD has on the veteran community and has dedicated his life to helping and serving those who suffer from PTSD and the alcohol and drug addictions that often accompany it. Since its founding, Building Veterans has grown and now operates two peer-to-peer recovery houses in the city of Brunswick. Our participants live - together - in these houses while they work through our unique program to reintegrate into the community and achieve recovery.

About Vet Fest

Vet Fest is a benefit concert and festival that directly supports Building Veterans. The inaugural event was held in 2016 on the grounds of the Brunswick Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1136. Originally the concept of one of our program participants, the event is completely organized and managed by Building Veterans staff and volunteers. All proceeds from the event go directly to the Building Veterans program for its continued operation.

After three successful years hosting the concert on the grounds of the Eagles, we've made the leap to hosting the concert at a larger venue, the Frederick Fairgrounds. This new venue will allow us to host a larger audience and expand the lineup. We are excited and proud that many of our partners from years past will be joining us again - including program friend Reggie Wayne Morris making his fourth consecutive appearance.
